I'm still working on getting 'log -g' functioning again. By Monday
afternoon, I hope to either have it working, or at least have a good
feel for what the remaining issues are. I'll send another mail when
I've reached that point.

We should also take a look at the remaining TODO(sd) and TODO(reint)
comments, either fixing them or removing them. Dunno if that needs to
happen before rc-1, though.

As for an RC, a few people have dropped the name, but there's been no
serious discussion, iirc. If folks could download and take a look at
the nightly tarballs that I've been generating[1], I'd appreciate it.
Those tarballs are being created with the same scripts and dependencies
used to create the distribution tarballs. By looking at the nightlies,
I hope to catch some of the more frequent tarball-rolling errors
(dependency problems, etc.) before we actually start rolling RCs.
