thank you for doing this work. I'm sure that it will ease the life of the
administrators when it matters the most -- when they're under stress anyway.

If I read the changelog correctly, that's only for revisions -- transactions
use a flat directory as before, right? That's where a directory limit would
help, too... Although I grant you that normal subversion usage doesn't
normally involve committing many hundred files at once.
