[PATCH] fix hook_test

Hello

I tried to fix the hook_test but I have no idea if that will work on
windows or over one of the network protocols.

Can anyone please test this?

I'd like to write more tests with failing pre-commit or post-commit hooks
but that doesn't make sense as long as teh basic test fails.

   (hook_test): Let the hooks write to a logfile and check its content.
