Thanks for the followup. The thought actually crossed my mine this past
weekend, I just haven't had any time to do anything about it.

Given the state of trunk right now, the message I was planning on
sending is something along the lines of:

"Thanks for your feedback! We've decided to go ahead and push to get
basic merge tracking into the 1.5 release, with additional merge
tracking features to follow in 1.6."

It may also be useful to give some kind of ballpark figure for when we
plan on branching 1.5.x. If it isn't this weekend (without MT), do we
know when that will be?

My only concern is that we haven't really reached a consensus on this
position. I'm hesitant to send something representing the developers to
users@ when it may not be representative at all.

So, folks, what'll it be?
