Yes, all of the files begin with dot.

What would you recommend? Should I commit to trunk to force people to come
out against it if they are? Or commit to developer-resources so that it is
clearer what we want to put in trunk?

Obviously I would prefer trunk just because that will give the most seamless
user experience.
