While I understand what you mean with respect to the per-file
copyright notices, I can't imagine that there would be a release from
Subversion's trunk that does not include substantial changes that
occurred in 2007, so I'm not sure what's wrong with (admittedly
preemptively) updating the whole-project copyright notice.
