Hello Madan and David,

I tried to do this installation on a windows machine and faced couple of issues. I've also included couple of suggestions.

I faced following issues when i did Apache based installation:

1) When we start the installation it reports "unknown publisher".
2) There is no option to browse "Repository Path". Provide an option to browse when we select "Repository Path" during the installation.
3) The README file says to run htpasswd command, but when we run it in a new terminal, it reports 'unrecognised command'. Should i have to use full path, if i did the installation in custom path?
4) On a particular case in README file, we also refer to htpassword command. I'm unsure which one is correct, htpasswd or htpassword? But i'm unable to run both the commands.

I faced following issues when i did svnserve based installation:

1) I was able to create/checkout a repository. But, i'm unable to commit a change as any user. I also set "anon-access = write", restart svnserve, but still i'm unable to commit a change. I'm unsure if i'm doing something wrong here.

Following are my suggestions:

1) There is no option to do both svnserve and apache based installation. Any specific reason for doing so?

2) When we uninstall, it'd be useful to have a pop-up confirmation screen.

3) When the installation is complete, please have a pop-up confirmation screen before "Reboot".

P.S: I've not completed the installation yet.
Thanks!
Regards,
Bhuvaneswaran

Subject: Testing the CollabNet Server on Windows: We need *your* help!

Madan and I have written some instructions which explain how to
install the CollabNet Subversion Server.

Using these instructions, it should be possible to setup a working
installation of the CollabNet Subversion server. We need your help.
Please follow the attached instructions and set up a Subversion
server.

These instructions show you how to setup a Subversion server which
allows users to commit changes using a username and password. The
server should start up again every time you restart your computer.

How to help us:

  1. Go to http://downloads.open.collab.net/ and download the CollabNet
      Subversion Server for Windows.

  2. Install the CollabNet Subversion Server for Windows

  3. Follow the instructions in the attached Subversion-Server-README.txt file.

  4. Try to checkout a Subversion repository and commit some changes
using the usernames you configured in Step 3.

  5. Reboot your machine. The Subversion server should start automatically.
Try to commit some more changes.

Let me know whether the attached instructions work, or if you run into problems.

Thank you very much!

David
