BH, I don't know if this is your first experience with open source
mailing lists, but here are some tips:

This is a development mailing list. You should have mailed the
users@subversion.tigris.org list, as this was a question about helping
you (a user), not about contributing to the development of Subversion.

Also, Subversion documentation is linked to from
http://subversion.tigris.org, which is Subversion's home page and the
first thing that comes up if you Google for "subversion". All you
have to do is look around a little, you'll find svnbook.red-bean.com
and other resources.
