What about formalising the naming of release packages to indicate
platform/package type.

"{version} {package name} [release {num}]"

EG
"1.4.0 Win32Installer"

and

"1.4.0 Win32Installer release 2"

Clearly the same version of Subversion but a second release of the
installation package for Win32Installer.

It also then provides a nice way to organise various versions and
releases of the different package types.
