Did you read my message? I explicitly suggested that, and then
suggested that on a repo with 10+ years of history that is likely to be
a slow process. Since the repository is effectively locked while this
happens, all your committers are effectively prevented from committing
until this process completes.

Also, the effect of this on any mirrors of the repository (using
svnsync) is currently unknown. If this requires all the mirrors (and
the FreeBSD project has hundreds) to throw away their repository and
resync from scratch then that is probably a non-starter.
