question about svn_ra_serf_init() API doc

Hi,

    I was browsing through svn_ra.h, when I noticed something the API doc
for svn_ra_serf_init(). It says:

/** Initialize libsvn_ra_serf.$
  *$
  * @since New in 1.4.$
  * @deprecated Provided for backward compatibility with the 1.1 API. */$
svn_error_t * svn_ra_serf_init(int abi_version,$
----------------------8<-------------------------------------------8<----------------------------

    Am curious about '@since New in 1.4' and '@deprecated Provided for
backward compatibility with the 1.1 API' lines. Isn't something out of
place here?
