And, bouncing off that, is it unrealistic to propose a SoC task asking
for both patches to neon/serf and Subversion to implement advanced
progress reporting? As far as I can tell in my blissful ignorance of
the internals of Neon and Serf, the big obstacle is having to learn 3
codebases to contribute the patches, and designing a solution which
fits elegantly in all three codebases.

However, also keeping in mind that this year SoC is 3 months long, I
tentatively claim that it is a feasible task.
