"Three sigs per tarball" is what we've done for years. I don't
understand how Justin can say that this was "never Ben Reser's
intention", when Ben Reser *always* held up releases because we were
waiting for 1 more .zip sig, for example. The fact that this policy
is documented in hacking.html is not an accident, or the result of
some giant perpetual misunderstanding: it's what we've all agreed on
and have been deliberately following for a long time now.

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with debating the policy and
changing it; I'm just saying that Justin's objection of "overkill"
is the first and only objection we've ever heard to it.
