Hey, Karl, are you sure you want to let yourself get sucked into this task? :-)

It's the sort of thing I too often fall for, because I can't bear the thought
that someone else might do it sub-optimally, or might do it by hand when I
could surely automate it with enough effort.

Usually, afterwards, I think "Was it really worth wasting so many hours of my
life on achieving that mundane result?"

Maybe wait for someone else to do it, and then apply a few ad-hoc checks to
random samples of their result ... but no, there's no way they would get it as
right as you could, eh! :-)

All meant in fun. Maybe you even find it a relaxing diversion from lawyers and
mod_dav_svn internals and whatnot.
