At Apache, we've found that 72 hours is sufficient to enable most
people to see the vote request, to ponder on it, and to respond. That
covers time zones and work schedules. (obviously, vacation can blow a
vote, but no matter how long we make it, a vacation can be longer, so
we just don't count that)

IMO, Friday to Wednesday was a VERY long window...
