I prefer to stick to one style consistently. In Ruby, the "space
before paren" style causes syntax errors. So it is better to choose
the "no space before paren style".

According to the Ruby developers, the syntax errors with
"space-before-paren" are "caused by limitation of yacc parser
generator (and my brain). Please stand, and don't put spaces before
argument parentheses, please."
