UNABLE TO OPEN ra_local Session

(I've posted this once, with no response yet....)

This apparently started happening around Subversion 1.3 upgrade....
Local repository on Win XP;

Real path to repository:

"file:///D:/Profiles/xxx/My Documents/SVNRepository"

Individual file commits seem to work fine.

Directory level commits results in the following error message:

D:\Profiles\xxx\My Documents\Projects>svn -m "test directory checkin" ci
svn: Commit failed (details follow):
svn: Unable to open an ra_local session to URL
svn: Unable to open repository 'file:///D:/Profiles/xxx'

which looks like it parses the repository name TWO DIRECTORIES TOO HIGH.

Any suggestions on how to "correct" this, diagnose further, etc.?

I've been using a BDB repository, and upgraded (aparently w/o incident) BDB
... when that was called for in SVN upgrades.
