Sorry about that, I obviously picked the wrong time to start
submitting patches, considering how bad my brain has been
working recently.

Running gdb on installed versions of the new stuff also
gives me weird link erros. It could be that I'm running on RH 9.0,
so I have an old version of the linker. I'm changing jobs, so
hopefully my new set up won't have this problem.
