[Feature] unique version numbers

I'm not sure, if this belongs to this list or the user list. Anyway, the
feature seems not to be implemented, so I'm asking here:

It would be nice to have this feature in a platform-independent way as a
part of subversion. Putting build numbers/dates etc. in executables
are quite common for e.g. nightly builds. Is this possible for
subversion ?
