[bug] update foo walks down '.'

In kde-i18n (a 3Gb checkout) doing;
time svn up foo
gives me some 20min
on the other hand;
cd foo && time svn up
returns within 2 minutes.

Some checking revealed that lock files are created in the whole repo instead
of just under the subdir foo.
This is with version 1.1.4, please check if this is still the case with
trunk and file a bugreport if it does, thanks.
