It makes me *so* happy that TSVN now has a faster cache, and Explorer doesn't hang for a minute when displaying a folder for the first time... I really really appreciate the work on the newer TSVN cache and would hate to see these gains lost.

So yes, Stefan knows very well what his users want... It would be really unacceptable to me if showing a folder the first time again hangs explorer.

Sure. But it's the time until that property is in the cache that's
important. It has to be read at least once for each file, and it has to
be read when the user wants to show the contents of a folder in the
explorer - that would make the explorer hang for several seconds (at
least the first time, when the cache doesn't have that information yet).
Users won't accept that...
