1.2.0-rc1 FAILs

Ok, I tested 1.2.0 on one machine, found it to be alright, signed and mailed
to breser.

Now, because we will be releasing, I'm upgrading another system, running
tests and I get failures.

System 1 (which was alright):

- Linux RH9 with 2.6.10 kernel
- Libtool 1.4.3
- Autoconf 2.57

System 2 (which is failing):

- Linux RH8 with RH NPTL 2.4.20-35.8 kernel off atrpms
- Autoconf 2.53
- Libtool 1.5.?? (1.1220.2.1)

The latter system is failing to find (in the build tree) the symbol
svn_ver_equal(). This was with 1.2.x HEAD. Backdating to r13929, I see the
same failure. This system has built trunk over the past few months without
problems (not daily, but regularly).

Does anybody see the same? What other details would be required?

BTW: I'm building the tarball now, but won't be able to wait for it to
complete testing tonight. I'll let you know in the morning.
