I say we name them after historical subversives (e.g. guy-fawkes.tar.gz)
and take them down as soon as the blessed tarball is released. I don't
see how that could be considered odd.

(The candidates don't even show up in the Subversion file area, do
they? As far as I know, they generally go up at some random location on
the web under the control of the RM.)
