I'm okay with it. I don't think it's likely someone is going to "lose"
the PRERELEASE naming on the file. Only downsides I can think of is
it's going to alter the output of (md5|sha1)sum commands a little. But
I don't think that's a reason not to do it.

That said I'm still not thrilled with it. Just not seeing any important
reasons it's bad.
