Ugh this is stupid, and now a complete waste of time. We went round and
round and round about if dist.sh should do this. We beat this issue to
death ages ago. I explained over and over and over why it had to be
done that way.

Now you guys are just throwing out ideas without really thinking about
how the release process works and it's turned into "How can I change the
process."

The process that has existed works just fine. Can it be improved yes.
But you need to explain what is wrong with what exists. Not just "this
is how it should be done" or "this is how Apache does it."

So please before you guys start tossing out new ideas to fix problems
that don't exist at least go read the zillions of threads where we
talked about this before.
