+1. If you live downstream wait until you see the project actually
send out an announcement.

There is no such thing as 're-tagging' 1.1.4. 1.1.4 is gone. If it
is bogus we delete the tag and go with 1.1.5. Numbers are cheap, as
oposed to confusion.
