I was building without BDB last night (FSFS only) and this still happened
(until I added CLEANUP=true to the tests invocation).

Yes, it does succeed in those circumstances.

That is what I was wondering aloud to the list last night. Someone else
is now having the same problem I had, maybe someone who understands what
is going on could take a look at it.
