Yes, we will need one "branch" from the 1.1.x branch and one from trunk.
Of course, there is no point in setting up the latter until we reach the
point of being ready to port back to trunk. So for now, we just need a
copy of the 1.1.x branch.

I would suggest:

/branches/ebcdic/1.1.x
