'Twas me who fixed it. 'svnlook youngest' wasn't returning, so I
stopped apache, ran 'svnadmin recover' (which took about 1 second),
started apache. The error log was full of millions of error messages
about malformed requests to the tortoisesvn repos, so it wasn't
immediately obvious to me what our specific bdb error message was.

/me waits for BDB 5, with auto-recovery features.
