Didn't someone say "per-repository settings" in this thread? :-)

You're absolutely right "YUCK" describes the situation perfectly and
per-repository settings would be a perfect storage place for all these
properties we are talking about tsvn:logwidthmarker, bugtraq:message and
so on.
