Yes, that would be wonderful, but Subversion does not have the concept of
per-repository settings so we had to improvise and use properties. We use
the same techniques for the bug tracking integration. One advantage of
properties is that it allows you to vary the settings by project. This is
more useful for the bug tracking settings then the log width though.

BTW, Subclipse supports these same properties.
