Peter, I built r11704 as you requested and tested the
"svn update ..." on a particular file. It does indeed
complete very quickly (0.3 seconds) as expected. I'm
going to run more tests (svnadmin create, svn
commit/update, svnlook, etc.) and will report if
anything else takes much longer than expected. Again,
thanks.

p.s. I assume you or someone else will take care of
updating the info on the bugzilla issue; I'm not able
to edit the contents of the issue myself.
