Hi,
I took a closer look to subversion and I like it very much. So I want to use it. But as far as I can
see the clients are not that powerful like e.g. StarTeam. So perhaps I want to write a client on my
own (Open Source, on the windows platform). I want to use the COM bindings, but probelm is that I'm
not able to compile the whole stuff to test COM bindings. Now I have some problems/questions
1. what exactly is needed to compile the whole bunch on Win32 (which compiler/version, which 3rd
party libs ...)
2. If anybody would be able to send e copy of the compiled COM-Stuff (I suppose at the end it is
just a DLL) so that I can test - it would be great
3. Is the COM binding powerful enough to use alle features and all URL types ?
As you can read between the lines (to be honest - this seems to be the bigest problem here) I'm not
really in the details of a multiplatform C++ development project, I'm well experienced with delphi,
and I'm sure if I would understand the interface I would be able to write a working client for
subversion. So for a first test I just want to see if it is possible for me to use the COM API. If
so I will install all the needed things to compile everything and to understand the details etc.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Bernd.
