E-mail thread etiquette

It's a bit late for me to say this now, since the thread "Locking UI
comments" seems to be winding down, but please, in particular, could
anyone commenting further on the naming of conflict files (lock
conflicts and ordinary commit conflicts) use a more specific thread name
("Subject:" line).

The same goes whenever any conversation wanders off topic or becomes
significantly more focussed than the current name of the thread implies.

Either start a new thread or reply with the subject "New thread name
[was: Old thread name]" and, when you reply to one of those, delete the
" [was: ...]" part.
