Using Ant to do greps for pre-commit hook

Hi. I am trying to write a pre-commit hook script that will call Ant and do
some grep tasks. Basically, I want to make sure that the log message
contains certain information, and I would like to be able to do this with
Ant. Is there a straightforward way to accomplish this? Thanks for any
help.
