1.1.0 Dynamic link on Solaris?

We've been having issues getting a successful compile and install of 1.1.0
on our Solaris 9 machines using dynamic linking, whereas my OSX install was
fine. We finally had to use the --enable-all-statis config flag to get it
to work. Has anybody had a similar problem on Solaris?
