I feel that horked more accurately conveys the nuances of subtly
corrupted working copies.

From the Jargon File (http://www.catb.org/~esr/html/go01.html):

horked: adj.

Broken. Confused. Trashed. Now common; seems to be post-1995. There
is an entertaining web page of related definitions, few of which
seem to be in live use but many of which would be in the recognition
vocabulary of anyone familiar with the adjective.

borken: adj.

(also borked) Common deliberate typo for 'broken'.
