I'll go ahead and do that right now. Usually I wait a little while to
see if there will be discussion of a patch, but in the case where the
patch directly addresses an existing issue, I guess it makes sense to
attach it to the issue right away. (I'll add that to my mental
decision tree for determining what to do with a patch.)
