Sorry if this is a stupid idea; I haven't had the time yet to read all
the specs.

Could the pf:property-displayname be bent to express the real property
name? I am aware that it is supposed to be language specific, but I
don't see anything wrong with fixing it at xml:lang="en" for that purpose.
