Wasn't meant as an accusation, but now that I read my own words again,
it sounded like one. sorry.
Anyway, what I really meant was: That person (you?) overlooked the
pretty well known problems with huge directories. Making mistakes is
human. However it is pretty difficult to change FSFS layout now without
breaking existing installations.
However, since 1.1.0 is not yet released, and the compatibility
guarantee only exists for releases (not release candidates if I
understood those documents correctly), it is still possible to change
the layout even if it breaks existing installations. However, since most
installations probably use svnserve oder mod_dav_svn, or only use a
local repository on a shared server, it is pretty likely that most
installations only access a given repository through a single release of
subversion. That's my guess from what I read here and on the users list,
anyway.
