  Hello !

My subversion repository seems broken. I now have a "Can't recode string"
error mesage every time I commit or update on a certain directory that
contains accentuated characters.

My LC_CTYPE ant LANG vars are set correctly (to fr_CH, which works fine with
all other programs).

On the users mailing-list, I wa given the suggestionto open a bug report. It
seems that the Issue tracker is opon only to project members, so I'll post
here ...

The full thread is on the users mailing list archives, begining 2004-06-24
with subject "Can't recode string (locale problem ?)".

  Basically, my config is :

server : Debian testing, subversion 1.0.0
client 1 : Mandrake 10.0 Official, subversion 1.01
client 2 : Windows XP Pro, tortoise svn 1.0.3, Build 968

As I get the same error from both clients, I suppose that the problem is on
the server. Even a new checkout doesnt work, so I suppose the repository is
broken in some way.

The repository on which I have the problem is about 300Mo, but doesnt
contains sensitive data. If it can help I can publish it somewhere ...

If there is anything else I can do to help ...

   Thanks in advance ...
