I've been begging people to help me do so for ages. People say they'll
do it and never do, complain about the need for a make command (turns
out later that MSVC comes with nmake, which Perl can and will generate
Makefile's for), ...

If someone can try doing:

perl Makefile.PL
nmake
nmake test

from subversion/bindings/swig/perl/native

that would tell me a whole lot...
