Feature request: Auto-logging of merges

From: Scott L. Burson <Scott_at_solidcore.com>

Hi,

In using Subversion I have on a couple of occasions experienced some
difficulty reconstructing exactly what command had been issued to do a merge
(in one case, I had trouble even though I was the one who did the merge).

Here's a suggestion that I think would help a lot. Merging could add an
annotation to the working copy that receives the merge, giving the two source
URLs and revision numbers; this annotation would be automatically added to
the log message at the next commit.

Please CC me in replies, as I am not on the list.
