1.1 issue sweep done.

So if you look at our issuetracker now, you'll see

  * a bunch of unmilestoned patches ready for review.
  * about six 1.1 issues
  * about twenty "1.1-consider" issues.

Anyone can jump on the patches, feel free. But it's the last category
that's the interesting one. My feeling is that each of these issues
is a good candidate for 1.1, probably because they are pretty
important and/or can result in great gain for little work. (Many of
them are already started or nearly finished.) Those are the ones
people should turn their attention to. They need to be discussed on
this list.
