Possible volunteer for PHP language bindings (me)

I would be interested in setting up or helping set up language bindings
for PHP through SWIG unfortunately I don't have much experience with C
code (and none with SWIG). I am willing to battle my way through,
although if someone is willing to do some off list hand-holding I would
appreciate it. I'm willing to start from scratch repeatedly if
necessary. The computer I am using is dual boot FreeBSD 5-current and
Windows XP. I have a copy of VC++ 6 as well if someone would like me to
test things under that.
