Regarding comment #14 in that issue, from McClain Looney 2004-03-24:
"i see no need to support all the funky svn access methods, just http
and https". It's true that the http:// and https:// access methods
were available first, but the svn:// access method is long out of
testing now -- it's quite well established, with sites using it in
production.
Obviously, if Eclipse uses the javahl bindings, then it gets svn://
support for free, so this won't be an issue. I just wanted to point
out that svn:// support *is* important, and that therefore using the
Subversion clietn libraries should be correspondingly more attractive.
