I'm not advocating SVNROOT, but I can sure see why it would be a little
easier. The reason is that you set CVSROOT once (in your .bashrc
perhaps), and you don't have to type $CVSROOT every time. Having to
type $SVNROOT is more work. On the other hand, you don't have to call
it SVNROOT. The shorter the better...
