I suppose that is true. Let me rephrase.

The particular style exhibited in the email I was referring to is
particularly difficult to read. I haven't seen anyone on this list
using that style. Sometimes, top posting is okay. But it really
depends on the context and the formating that is done. I don't consider
the email I was replying to an example of reasonable use of top posting.
