Nope, no progress, sorry.

I wish I could help you more, but (at least right now) it's not at the
top of my priority list. We get occasional requests for it, but not
like we do for (say) merge tracking, or locking. So things like that
come higher on the priority list, at least in these early 1.0, 1.1
days.
