IMO, any "sanctioned" binary from this team should be built from a
specific tag. And given that 1.0.0 means a *very* specific thing, then
repackaging a 1.0.0 with additional packages would be *very* bad. Imagine
the hell we'll see in the issue tracker. "Is this with the real 1.0.0, or
the patched 1.0.0?"

This is why we have the policy of: if a tarball is published, and we find
a problem, then we burn it and move onto another number.

As far as I'm concerned, releasing a 1.0.1 in a week or two is *just*
fine. I don't think there is a need to wait "six weeks" or whatever. If we
know about problems, then we'll actually be doing a disservice to make
people wait a while. "But we'll look bad releasing a 1.0.1 so quicly" Oh,
fooey on that. We're grownups and can deal with "looking bad" here and
there.
